A History Of Design
Here you will find all of the layouts that have graced the pages of dance-electric.net.
Ordered by date, I love all of my layouts. Following each picture is a descritption of the layout.
This is the very first layout that I put up when I
bought my domain. At the time, I wasn't prepared with a theme,
so Niki made the header, and I did the rest. We were on msn, and she sent me my header image,
and I went on wordpress and installed it. Unfortunately, it wasnt the best layout we made together.
This is the second layout for D-E, and my favourite. I wish I
could have kept it up longer. Oh well. It features a picture of
L from Death Note an anime/manga series
that I love. The header image is by ~sekiraku from
deviant art. It was a good one, and I asked permission to use it before I put it up.
This layout is called Le Bleu. Because, well, it's blue
and I was feeling french at the time. At one point, I offered to view my site in different colour schemes of
this layout, but thought it was dumb and took them all down except for the purple version. It didn't work sometimes,
because I used id's and no classes to align it, but it still looked good to where the sidebar ended. ahah. This layout
is okay in my books, not one of my favourites, but sitll good.
This layout, Honey-Light, was made by both
Niki and i, and featured the font, you guess it, Honey Light. We had identical layouts, only with different colour schemes
and different critters. She with red and kitties, and me with blue and bees. It wasn't up for very long, but it was
still up. This layout wasn't the best of all of ours, but it reminded me of when I was still on my subdomain, tainted.
This layout, was one of my favourites. It's called
When Everything Means Nothing. It was inspired by Niki's Divine. It was
made on Photoshop 7.0, and I just added a bunch of filters, and went crazy. It was really fun to make, and code, and I
like it a lot. It was on for the longest of all of my layouts, and was the last layout I had before I ditched wordpress.
This layout is called What A Nightmare and is
inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. I used brushes from
inobscuro and the font "Burton's Nightmare". This is the layout that I used when I
took off wordpress. It was made with tables, as apposed to div's and was modified alot, before it was put up.
Ah yes,
Rhiannon's favourite layout. This is the layout I had up when I was reviewed for the first time. And it got lots
of praise. People liked it. Nice and colourful, very original, and my all time favourite. It expressed how I felt at the time.
It was also a lot of fun to make. Photoshop is wonderful.
This layout, Very Sleek by name, was a bit
different from my normal style. I like it none the less however. It didn't say in tact very long. Something got deleted
sometime in the middle of it's existence, and parts of it disappeared on me. And they were key points, like the navigation
and sidebar. So, it came down, and my current one was put up.
Current!
